We are the largest singly owned stand alone IVF group in the country running Five
full fledged IVF units in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Nerul, New Delhi and Chandigarh.
We also run Fertility centres in South Mumbai, Bandra Mumbai, Borivali Mumbai, Noida
Delhi, and Faridabad delhi. We also run six affiliate IVF units. All this is manged

Unlike many other Doctors practising infertility, Dr. Pai is a versatile and complete
Doctor. He not only is a Practising IVF Doctor, but is also an Academician, A professional
Leader and a Social worker.
As an Practising IVF Doctor
Dr. Pai’s has the distinction of personally performing more than 10,000 embryo
transfers in the past 20 years of practice as an IVF doctor. His initial exposure
to IVF came when he was associated with the team from KEM hospital and G S Medical
college Mumbai, which had the privilege of delivering India’s first IVF baby (officially
India”s second IVF baby). At that time(1984) he was the Registrar in the unit responsible
for the birth. Subsequently, in 1990, he did his Clinical Fellowship at the Royal
Women’s Hospital Melbourne Australia. This unit had the distinction of delivering
the second IVF baby of Australia. This unit was subsequently called Melbourne IVF
and presently is the part of a large IVF group called IVF Australia.
Dr. Pai got
trained in ICSI in 1995 at the Az vub IVF centre at the Brussels Free university
which had the distinction of delivering the first ICSI baby of the world. He subsequently
got trained in Pre implantation Genetic diagnosis at the Verlinsky Institute in
Chicago USA & the University College Hospital London which was one of the world
leaders in PGD In 2007.
Dr. pai received training in vitrification at the Kato clinic
in Tokyo Japan again a pioneer in the field. At the same time Dr. Pai registered
for the Prestigious Masters Degree in Clinical Embryology and Andrology at the Jones
Institute, Eastern Virginia Medical school USA. This institute is responsible for
delivering the first IVF baby of USA. After successfully acquiring the Msc Degree
in 2009, Dr. Pai was appointed as the Assistant adjunct Professor in Clinical embryology
and andrology at the Jones institute USA.

Who better than to realize this vital aspect of human life than someone who has spent her entire life in bringing smile and joy to the faces of mothers who had lost all hope of ever holding a child in their arms.
The story of evolution of IVF in India cannot be said without the mention of Dr. Nandita Palshetkar is the shining star on the OBGY horizon who brought hope and joy to thousands of couples who were struggling with the emotional and social consequences of not being blessed with a child.
Dr. Palshetkar completed her MD in 1993 from Mumbai University. She was also awarded the FCPS in the same year from the College of Physicians and surgeons Mumbai. Subsequently she was awarded the ICOG from the MICOG Mumbai.
To keep abreast of the rapidly evolving technology in the IVF domain worldwide Dr. Palshetkar regularly attends many training programs and workshops worldwide. She also has considerable research work in cutting edge OBGY domain space.
She is currently the professor of OBGY at the Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Navi Mumbai and teacher for super specialty degree (FNB), Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine, National Board, Delhi at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
This accumulated expertise has helped her to make India a low cost provider of effective IVF treatment for couples worldwide.
Dr. Palshetkar also has the distinction of being one of the most prolific contributor to the enhancement of academic body of knowledge in OBGY in India. She has presented papers and contributed articles in many journals and magazines.
Dr. Palshetkar, was one of early visionaries who brought the now famous IVF treatment within reach of the common man and has tirelessly worked for spreading the benefits of IVF technology in India. She has been hailed as the “face of the IVF program” by the media several times in the last decade.
Furthermore, Dr. Palshetkar has reached great heights and has made an enormous contribution to the field of Gynaecology by achieving various noteworthy records throughout her career.
Dr. Palshetkar has the record of being the first to establish assisted laser hatching in this country in 1998 along with having delivered first laser hatching twins in India.
She also has the distinction of having achieved pregnancy in the oldest woman in India, a 60 year old in 2000, along with having achieved pregnancy with sperms from a hemiplegic husband and also having delivered the first baby in India with three mothers - i.e. with help of a test–tube baby and surrogacy techniques.
She is also a pioneer in establishing the spindle view technology in India so as to prevent damage to the genes during test–tube baby procedure, establishing the first egg and ovarian tissue bank in India and establishing IMSI – a new technology for improving results in Male Infertility, for the first time in India.
Dr. Palshetkar also has the credit of Installing the IVF–Metabolomics Machine, First in Asia & Fifth in the World at Lilavati Hospital IVF Centre in 2010.
Today she is a part of the Infertility unit of many renowned hospitals like the Lilavati Hospital Mumbai, Harkinsandas Hospital Mumbai, Fortis Group of hospitals and the Dr. D.Y. Patil Hospital and Medical research Centre Navi Mumbai.
Her philanthropic nature inherited from her illustrious father has ensured that poor couples are given this treatment for free and this single act has brought her blessings from those families who could not have otherwise afforded the cost of treatment.
Dr. Palshetkar has been felicitated and awarded a number of times by various organizations and the Maharashtra Government for her contribution to popularize the IVF treatment in India.
She is also the senior Vice president ELECT of FOGSI for year 2011 which is a well deserved recognition by members of her own fraternity to her immense contribution to the cause of IVF in India and the world. She is alo the Hon. Secretary of AMOGS society (Association of Maharashtra Obstretics & Gynaecological Socities) and Managing Committee member of IAGE (Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopist) & ISAR (Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction)
Her fame is now worldwide and many couples from around the world are queuing up at her various clinics for treatment. Dr Palshetkar has brought a smile to each family she has touched.
Dr. Palshetkar dreams of bringing state of the art OBGY care and IVF treatment to all parts of India. She is working on ways and means to make India the largest provider of high quality IVF treatment to the rest of the world.
Dr. Palshetkar lives in Mumbai with her small family and has a lovely son who is following his mother into the medical profession. She travels to all parts of the country and the world and is always eager to soothe a distraught mother who eagerly awaits her first child or an addition to her family.
